@IceySnowNSFW My suggestion, in addition to what everyone else has said, is to first get her Late Surger proficiency to A, and run her as Late instead of End, much less RNG to worry about there. Also, the Eishin Flash card has a bunch of good Late Surger skills, so use her as well in career

@saruei Something else that helped me was finding trainers with the cards/legacies that I needed, I used the Umamusume subreddit to do so. The Silence Suzuka here is 9* speed and 6* front runner, which vastly improves the viability of the build.

@saruei This set up is how I am consistently able to get Bakushin or Taiki Shuttle to 1000+ speed and wit. The most important thing to remember in the beginning is to farm friendship points, because it is then easier to snowball the level up points later on.

@IceySnowNSFW Tazuna is good if you are training someone who is prone to mood swings, like Haru Urara or Rice Shower, helps them from randomly lowering their mood. Tamamo Cross is okay, but there are better stamina cards out there, like Super Creek.
