2/3 The campaign will target 2 districts experiencing alarmingly high rates of teenage pregnancies & child marriages. In 2024, Chipinge reported 3,239 teenage pregnancies, while Mutare Rural had 2,254 cases. Manicaland recorded 161 school dropouts due to marriage and pregnancy.

2/2 The campaign will target Hurungwe and Chegutu, two districts with alarmingly high rates of teenage pregnancies and child marriages. In 2024 alone, Chegutu recorded 2,155 teenage pregnancies, while Hurungwe reported 3,038 cases.

On 29th March 2025, with support from @UNFPA_Zimbabwe & @naczim , we held our National First Quarter Meeting. We reviewed Q4 2024 & Q1 2025, shared challenges, best practices, and feedback, and oriented our team on the @UNITEDMoveESA .

On March 24, the Matabeleland South #NotInMyVillageCampaign Inception Meeting was held in Bulawayo. In 2024, Beitbridge recorded 1,273 teenage pregnancies and 31,248 child marriages, while Insiza recorded 944 teenage pregnancies and 20,872 child marriages.
