@caspertown42 @alisonleary1@theRCN Medicine is bad for creating forms to try to control every eventuality but Nursing trumps medicine. https://t.co/lvNefrXlVE
Nursing staff and patients deserve a government that listens.

We've been reflecting on the impact of safe nurse-to-patient ratios at our summit today. Evidence shows there's an increased risk of harm associated with a registered nurse caring for more than 8 patients on adult inpatient wards. How many people are you caring for? Is it safe?
Technology does not/cannot replace relationships/ presence/ interaction— thank you @cityalan and teams for looking at impact of surveillance technology within mental health settings
@LucyColwell @sarahleeessex @UniSurreyEvents Terrifying, evidence-based critical analysis and socio-political astuteness should be at the heart of undergraduate nurse study. In fact, it is essential as per NMC guidance to nurse as per the code.
@sarahleeessex Strange behaviour looks like @UniSurreyEvents - ? Their nursing academic leaders must be sooo embarrassed— apparently students were prepared by saying they must not ask questions. Imagine nurses being directed not to ask questions — what a worry
Very tragic loss & stark reminder of importance of #RMNs & #nursingstudents receiving high quality, field-specific physical health skills, confident in recognising & responding to psychogenic polydipsia, choking risks, major bleeds, head trauma, NMS, serotonin syndrome etc.
