@DommerMichael @EdDebtJustice @usedgov I refinanced my loans with SoFi after my application got denied as part of the mass denials. I didn't think I was eligible for a refund but I DID receive a refund.

@Silverstreak33 @mypetsrmykids @EdDebtJustice @usedgov @MyGreatLakes The amount that I received back was the total payments I made, some of which went to interest and some had gone to the principal. Basically they refunded me every monthly payment I made over the years I paid the loan. It did not include the amount that I refinanced with SoFi.

@EdDebtJustice @usedgov I then checked my bank account and that specified amount had been direct deposited into my checking account. I'm assuming they had my bank info from my auto pay setup. The letter said that it would take 45-60 days but it took like 3 days. Good luck out there!

@EdDebtJustice @usedgov I just want to let everyone know that today I received a letter from Great Lakes today. It stated that my loans have been dismissed and that I would be getting a refund of a specified amount.

@LynnTriciamsw @EdDebtJustice @usedgov About 4 years for me as well! Yesterday my owed amount went from $5000 to about $15000 and then this morning it was all gone and said there is no loan. So I think there is finally movement.
