@MorganGodfery I looked at the Progress of Bills to see if anything looked inspiring.
Apart from various Claims Settlement Bills (which would be there under either party?), no.
Even the Therapeutic Products Bill is subpar. (It currently fails to prevent direct to consumer advertising).
@keithmcleod@Thoughtfulnz I think once one started tunneling in properly it would need to be disaggregated by age (there are some participation rates by age, but unfortunately not numbers) to allow age-standardisation over time.
However, if NZ and US age-distributions over time were broadly similar, 🤷♀️
@keithmcleod@Thoughtfulnz That 208k to 255k, are any numbers available in between (or before)? And if so, if you can share the source, I'll poke at them.
@Thoughtfulnz Great, here is my comparison.
(Clearly there is something I should be doing that I'm avoiding!)
Ideally I'd have done it per capita (I'm not thrilled with the different axes' starting point mismatch), but finding and adding in population data was more avoidance than I needed.
@Thoughtfulnz This is great but being a visual person I feel like the comparison would be more complete if the data in the table was a chart too. Would do it myself but failing to find the data!
Not enough people know about the Housing Improvement Regulations 1947.
cl 15: "Every home shall be free from dampness".
The clause can be enforced in the Tenancy Tribunal (s45(1)(c) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1986).
Exemplary damages up to $7,200.

@greencatherine@RNZTeAoMaori@TUMEKE_blog I can't find it now, but the 1st piece I read on it said that it would go back because we didn't know which iwi it belonged to.
What a lame excuse! We might not know exactly who it belongs to here, but we can be 100% sure it does not belong to anyone in blighty.
One of the sucky things about having experienced childhood poverty is that questions about money can make me very anxious.
This is a particular problem because I run a charity that distributes scholarships, so money questions are pretty regular. 1/2
@PYasbek That would be ideal. No volunteers as of yet though. My usual approach is just to not ask, but that has an obvious downside! Also doesn't work for doing needs assessment.
Also the saying "no" happens more often so is probably the bigger problem?
@AndrewDickson13 Honestly I would kind of love to spend a month at sea. I imagine there would be Internet at least some of the time, and once the sea-sickness had passed, I could write ALL the papers! But the cost oye. Flights will be ~NZD2.5k including NZD103 carbon offset.
