I’ve been avoiding posting this… I had one of my worst games in a long time last weekend. I got in my head, made errors, and the more I tried to fix it, the worse it got.

The soul-crushing part? It was in front of my new college coach. It was humbling.

A consistently solid player, I had to swallow my pride and fear and have that post/game conversation. Luckily, Coach Kellems couldn’t have been more understanding and supportive.

So although there may have been tears later that night, I realized that 1 bad game doesn’t define you. Resilience is how you respond when things don’t go your way.

Bad games are going to happen, I just pray that you don’t have THAT game in front of your new coach 🤦‍♀️ 💕

🔥 Bottom 7, tied 4-4 with 2 outs. Bases loaded. Back at the plate with another 2-1 count, Cheyanne delivers a clutch single to WALK IT OFF and send Northgate to Columbus for the ELITE EIGHT! 🏆

Talk about showing up when the lights are brightest! Two huge at-bats in two pressure-packed moments. That's what it's all about!

Congratulations, kid! We are incredibly proud of you and will definitely be cheering you on as you continue this run. Keep making it happen when it matters most! 💪🥎
