Unity canceled its Runtime Fee. Developers kept moving to Godot anyway.
Because the fee was never the real problem. It was proof a vendor could change the rules on shipped work — and canceling it doesn't erase what that taught people.

Sony says new PlayStation games will move to digital-only beginning in January 2028, describing the shift as a natural response to changing player habits. But this isn't just about how people buy games it's about how they'll own them. Thread below. #PlayStation#Sony
The business case is hard to ignore. Digital sales eliminate manufacturing and retail costs, reduce the second-hand market, and give Sony greater control over pricing, discounts, and distribution. Consumer demand matters but so do the economics.
The business case is still being evaluated, with a potential launch reported for 2027–2028 if the project gets final approval. If it does, the Magma GT could become the halo car Genesis has been missing. detailed report is available at https://t.co/I9zN5s5i6S

A quick note: we're capping Ludicarc to a max of two posts a week, everywhere, including here. Less noise, more research, verdicts we'll actually stand behind. Thanks for reading.
With only 399 examples planned, the W1 reportedly sold out before production begins. Whether it becomes the next great McLaren remains to be seen. Full analysis coming soon on https://t.co/I9zN5s5PWq.
The McLaren W1 has finally arrived. Succeeding both the F1 and P1 was never going to be easy, but McLaren hasn't simply chased bigger numbers. Instead, it has doubled down on what made its greatest cars special: lightweight engineering and driver-focused performance.
Power is only part of the story. The W1's active aerodynamics, redesigned underbody, and race-inspired suspension generate over 2,200 lb of downforce. McLaren even says it's quicker around its test circuit than the Senna—a bold benchmark to set.
