@StatiSense Perhaps these rankings tell us as much about the evolution of regional economies as they do about aviation itself, as alluded by @AviaPro_ in the post below. Airports don't create demand—they reveal where demand is becoming durable.

WATCH: The new VC-25B "Bridge" aircraft, now serving as Air Force One, has arrived at Ankara Airport, Türkiye, for the NATO Summit.
The converted Boeing 747-8 is making its first international deployment.
BREAKING: A K2 Airways Boeing 737-400 cargo aircraft carrying five crew members has lost contact with air traffic control after reporting a navigational system problem during a flight from Sharjah to Karachi, according to Pakistan aviation authorities.
The crew reported the navigational system issue at 2118 PST while traveling to Karachi. Radar contact and communication were lost approximately 155 nautical miles west of Karachi, the Pakistan Airports Authority said.
Before losing contact, the aircraft was observed on radar rapidly descending and with rapid heading change, the authority stated.
Pakistan aviation authorities have launched a search and rescue operation at sea through various agencies to locate the missing aircraft.
From safe separations in the sky to efficient routing on the ground, Air Navigation Services (#ANS) play a critical role in capacity, safety, and on-time performance.
Smarter airspace isn’t just about technology.

The Asiana crash in San Francisco was 13 years ago
July 6 2013: Asiana Airlines Flight 214, a B-777, crashes in San Francisco (US), 3 of 307 aboard die. On landing, Jet approached too low and slow: its tail struck a seawall and was ripped off, and the aircraft cartwheeled on the runway. Investigation pointed pilot actions, with factors such as training, breach of SOP, inadequate supervision of trainee pilots, and fatigue, among others.

With the global fleet age now above 15 years, airlines are operating older aircraft longer than planned — increasing maintenance pressure and operational risk.

Imagine landing and seeing the burned-up wreckage of another plane on the runway next to you.
That's exactly what passengers aboard American Airlines Flight 431 experienced while landing at San Francisco International Airport on July 8, 2013, just two days after the crash of Asiana Airlines Flight 214, Boeing 777-200ER (HL7742).
From their windows, they could clearly see the destroyed Boeing 777 on Runway 28L, its landing gear separated, investigators examining the wreckage, and emergency crews working around the scene—a haunting reminder of the tragedy that had unfolded only 48 hours earlier.
On July 6, 2013, the Asiana 777 crashed while attempting to land after descending too low and too slow. The aircraft's tail struck the seawall and was destroyed by impact forces and a post-crash fire.
The National Transportation Safety Board later concluded that the probable cause was the flight crew's mismanagement of the visual approach, including inadequate airspeed monitoring, delayed execution of a go-around, and over-reliance on automation. The investigation also cited shortcomings in training, supervision, fatigue, and Boeing's documentation regarding autothrottle behavior.
The accident claimed three lives and injured nearly 200 people, marking the first fatal accident involving a Boeing 777.

🌍 Served airlines worldwide for decades
👥 Carried hundreds of millions of passengers
@BaroqueAviation@gulfstreamaero While many industries have mastered hyper-personalization—think of how Netflix knows your Friday night mood or Amazon anticipates your next purchase—the airline industry remains stuck in a "one-size-fits-most" model, as alluded in the below by @AviaPro_.
