Counting associates degrees + bachelors, Appalachistan would have a tertiary educational attainment rate of 39%, higher than the EU.

Counting bachelor's degrees only (4 yrs in the U.S. vs. 3 yrs in the EU, so biased toward EU), Appalachistan's educational attainment is comparable to Germany (29% vs 30%).

Yeah, nuance is good. Still, there have been “pan-European,” civilizational commonalities. If “the West” is a thing (it is) then it’s something like that. 🇱🇧 Israeli strike on Arab Salim kills woman, wounds six, including child

Lebanon’s Health Ministry said an Israeli attack on Arab Salim in the Nabatieh district killed one woman and wounded six people Thursday, including a child, another woman and two elderly people.

Israel first bombed the center of Arab Salim around 7:30 a.m. ET, then carried out at least one additional strike. Several homes were destroyed.

Arab Salim lies roughly seven kilometers north of the heavily contested Ali Taher heights and outside the territory currently occupied by Israel’s self-declared buffer zone.

Residents told local media that the woman killed had recently married and moved to the village.
