Ridley Scott returning to the Alien franchise basically guaranteed Alien Romulus' (a good movie) sequel is going to suck.
@BigCatHat Given what happened in Romulus, I think we were already on a trajectory to have more Prometheus/Covenant things in the sequel. Although Covenant wasn't great, I would still appreciate some closure to that story which it seems they are now pursuing.
i dont think the romulus sequel should go anywhere close to the prequels, some shared parts sure, but it should continue the trajectory it has already taken even if its almost a repeat of the classic alien movies
if ridley is rewriting the romulus sequel i seriously hope rain doesn’t get the shaw and daniels treatment, all are great leads and i cannot bate to go through it again with her…

@FreakySatoshi @FilmUpdates Yes, Romulus is better, but not "miles better" lol. It was a bit overrated imo. Covenant and Prometheus were always ok movies.
@grotesconuevo @onmydayout the first 15 mins of romulus exploring those themes was great and then it just went downhill just rehashing aliens and resurrection imo. fede said on the premiere that his son pointed out that the hybrid alien was similar to res and that he didn't even realise when making lol

Romulus was the first Alien film in a while that I actually enjoyed.
This guy coming back just means more non sensical films that fail to stick the landing, just like all his other projects.
@DiscussingFilm @allocine Romulus was a good fresh film for the franchise. Not sure why he’d change his mind about it but it’s just the thoughts circulating around the movie itself as a director… overtime.
I think it’s okay. I bet he can find the way to continue that story the way Fede could’ve.

The first plot for the covenant sequel was for david to be hunted by engineers for the deaths he caused in planet 4. Also romulus xenos were “bioprinted” or copies of big chap
I absolutely want Romulus, Remus and Moses. Some of the others I'm a bit more iffy about....
