For those who're interested in this kind of stuff 😅
Probably
I mean I expected them to do one once the market actually solidified. It wasn't just a short trend and instantly died again.
And tbh I'm still curious about it because Apple very much does still care about their hardware and delivers excellent stuff there. I also can't imagine them just doing some cheap plastic screen and calling it a day. That's not Apple
I hate the form factor but I still want to see Apples approach on the hardware/material level
Apple's foldable iPhone may not come cheap 👀
A new leak suggests Apple has finalized a Liquidmetal hinge for the iPhone Ultra.
The technology is reportedly difficult to mass produce, which could mean:
• Limited early availability
• Higher manufacturing costs
• Premium pricing
@clanceeinfinity I have some doubts you could actually tell in a blind test
You think it's much better because you know it has the higher number
Or maybe it's a completely different display tech like using an old LCD iPad with ProMotion vs OLED with 144Hz
@pururajdutta Don't see a real use for that tbh
Showing the iPhone battery on the Mac can have some benefits especially when you use it as a hotspot and such
@al3xis5_ I would always take you seriously!
Well maybe. But I think they're more likely only gonna do some cheaper base model, not an E. So when the fold is gonna be probably like $2000, a base model later may be like $1200-1500
They surely could've but I think they didn't saw a reason why they should. This changed a lot in the last few months with people being more and more pissed with Windows, hardware getting more expensive etc and Apple could get quite a good chunk there. Especially since they can get away with selling the Neo with barely any profit and hope people fully join the ecosystem or at least start using some of their services.
You can and should thank Apple for this btw
Because without Apple this thing would've been like $999. Especially in the current economy with much higher storage prices and such.
"Dell's new XPS 13 is the new best deal in laptops, surpassing the MacBook Neo with a better display, ports, build quality, and performance for the same price."
@zacbowden went hands-on with the new XPS 13 and is absolutely convinced it's better than a cheap Apple Neo running an old phone chip (not a high bar, to be honest).
At Computex, Dell has Neos on hand for side-by-side comparisons with the new XPS 13, which speaks volumes about how confident they are. (1/2)
Whats weird to me is that this is actually unnecessary?
Manufacturers don't have to make the battery actually replaceable. They have to provide hardware for replacement for 7+ years and support. Which Nintendo surely does.
Maybe it's harder to get third party repair shops to do that stuff?
Phone designs aren't going to change because of these regulations because they don't need to do I don't get why Nintendo has to change it in certain ways?
I mean it's still probably gonna be glued down and shit
[Switch 2]
Nintendo will release revised Switch 2 hardware in Europe to comply with a new regulation that requires batteries to be user-replaceable.
This new hardware will have the code “OSM” attached to the usual “BEE-“ model number.

I don't think that's gonna happen
If there's gonna be a second model the following year or so it's probably only gonna be bigger since that thing is tiny
And they're surely gonna be kept at super high prices for the foreseeable future
Don't see an "E" model there within the first like 5 gens
