“This song came out and it did unbelievable better than I ever dreamt it was going to… But for me, I was always like thinking about the fact that I always thought it needed a female singer… And also just I thought that someone like JENNIE, like a K-pop star, could just sort of like give it this spirit, that sort of playfulness… and I was having dinner with my friend who knows her and he was “I can message her right now if you want.” And I was like, “Whoa, whoa, slow down.” You know, I was like, “l wanted to sort of do this properly."
