This is a good time to remember that "industry analyst" speculate this every few years and there's never been public contemplation or discourse around a deal like that.

However, Disney potentially selling assets to strategically reorganize the operations isn't a crazy thought.

To avoid FTC blocking, Disney could sell some of its linear TV assets (ABC, FX, etc) or other assets in order to slim down the company for an acquisition.

Yes, we hard A LOT about unscripted content at #DisneyUpfront. Why? Probably because production timelines shifted during the ongoing strike; that's normal. We ALSO got reassurances about the upcoming scripted content in the short term schedule on multiple platforms.
