Okay, this was predictable. But honestly, I’m curious to see what they plan to do with Soldier Boy now after this episode, because his purpose in the season is pretty much complete.

Since Soldier Boy is clearly there to serve Homelander’s storyline (father/son dynamics have always been a core theme in the show and Kripke's work), seeing him fight Bombsight in the trailer makes me think he’ll be the one to take the V1 and eventually give it to Homelander.

@jona_1965 Per me il farci vedere come Soldier Boy reagisce tutte le volte che si nomina Stormfront, non è, come molti pensano, solo una strizzata d’occhio a Vought Rising, ma credo serva a usare lei come punto in comune tra padre e figlio. Come una sorta di motore narrativo per qualcosa.

@blessedincain @soldiierboys @soldierthons It's not a rewrite. It's a different time period. Vought Rising is set in the 1950s. The Payback team with Countless comes later, in the 1980s. Vought Rising shows what happened before that. Before Crimson Countess.

I thought of the radioactive room from episode 4.
But the fact they also showed Butcher watching Soldier Boy’s torture footage has to mean something, so I’m not fully convinced.

@jona_1965 Secondo me, da quello che abbiamo visto finora, è probabile che scopra quello che è successo di preciso a Liberty/Stormfront. Soldier Boy chiaramente prova qualcosa per lei di un po’ più profondo di quello che ha lasciato intendere a Homelander.

Also, there’s a basic level of ignorance in all of this - actors do what the script requires. And some people seem to miss the simple fact that sex scenes are carefully choreographed.

I’m not even against a little objectification, but what certain fans have with him is straight-up entitlement to his body. It’s honestly embarrassing.
