@EnergyWrapAU Some people who have a lot of rooftop solar, say 6kW or more and a battery might be able to save on power prices but not everyone can so this. Is the centralised power grid still the way to go for the future? Or will community based power systems be a good idea to reduce prices?

@SteveBlumeSEC @AEMO_Energy Fair enough comment to electrify. However alumina refineries have a calcination process requiring a temperature around 1050C. Will induction heating provide this? Maybe hydrogen can be used instead of natural gas?

@aliebman @EnergyWrapAU @mattjcan Both steam and gas turbine technologies keep evolving. A turbine rotor weighing say 100 tons spinning at 3000 RPM or 3600 RPM can cause a lot of damage when failures occur. We also have Process Safety procedures in place and these are also evolving.
