FWIW, #Bears fans recognize that the Bears’ current style of play isn’t sustainable. Gotta learn how to play all four quarters.

But they’re still winning despite the inconsistency. They’re finishing games. What good does it do to play well in first half mean when you can’t finish out the game?

I've went back and watched a lot of Caleb Williams' snaps over the last several weeks and just wanted to thought dump

- overall, he's playing like an above average QB
- the ball is very consistently going to the right place, on time. it's clear he's gained a much better understanding of how Ben Johnson's offense is supposed to operate
- the downfield accuracy is still really bad. a lot of the bad throws seem to come when he's not throwing from a solid base. he gets happy feet in the pocket sometimes and that's when he sails his throws. also he's throwing a LOT of fastballs
- his ability to escape sacks is superhuman, maybe best in the league
- he hasn't been hitting throws downfield after escaping the pocket, not always his fault and he's been close to some crazy second-reaction plays that were either dropped or not quite accurate. he's also making up his mind to run a lot more and he's super fast and shifty
- he looks like a good second year quarterback is supposed to look
- if he starts hitting more throws downfield he's going to be elite. maybe the accuracy improvement never happens, but if it does, everything else is there already and he will be an easy top 10 QB
