@Joel231Prophecy Possibly. The unnatural sounds of the sun suggests that it could take longer than 24 hours like Joshua. But it reads as before sunset of that day.
@Joel231Prophecy A day of light and darkness known only to the Lord. Zechariah 14 limits the Day of the Lord away from most of tribulation. It feels like it is only the day of Jesus' return.
@elimcgowan Listening to detractors will make you believe anything. Maybe I should find out about your character by listening to the CN crowd. Should be just as accurate.
@lukeappleton I don't think the expectation of Israel coming to fulfill eschatological promises is considered to be in historic premil. Do you think that is common?
That is the only reason I don't subscribe to it.
If there is any part that is not directly overlapped by the gospel, there will be an appearance of 'adding to the gospel' by someone who views the OT as past away.
Since they reject the torah as having any relevance to the role Jews have, it's no wonder that they have no understanding.
The law and the prophets are separate for Jesus as he identifies them separately.
Matt 23:40 All the Law and the Prophets ...
Romans 3:21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
They need to be separate to validate 'on the testimony of two witnesses'.
