@LouStagner@Fit_For_Golf I don't think the Trackman data has much bearing on motor learning. The "combine" is a great example of a poor test from a training perspective. Much better to have random numbers or at the least no repeats. Also, coach obsession with similar path numbers has reduced shape.
@Fit_For_Golf For sure there are limitations, but the evidence is substantial. It can feel risky to trust lab research when it's not applied. My team is working on doing some direct golf research this summer. Will share!
@Fit_For_Golf Fascinating to me as well. Too hard to measure, which is why I think too many coaches get a pass. They think that since a player hits a 7 iron closer on a range session they have done something worthwhile, when in fact mare variability probably prepares a player better.
