What genuinely stops him from being ranked in the ballon dor, he obviously won’t win it or be top 10 but: UECL winner, UECL top goal scorer, UECL POTS, 21 goals this season all comps, Afcon winner if you don’t count the politics after, Palace top scorer, palace POTS?

@JakHinton Yeah I get what you mean, but people forget we still played: Shaktar, AZ alkmaar, Fiorentina, dinamo kyiv, Strasbourg and that Rayo team in the final who finished 8th in La liga. I think people underestimate their qualities. Entitled to your opinion of course though.

@JakHinton Yeah of course you’re entitled to your opinion. It will be interesting if your opinion changes after your Europa league campaign next season though. I just think people don’t realise how much the Thursday/Sunday games actually takes its toll on the squads.

@JakHinton It’s a funny one though isn’t it, ballon dor is accolades based, I feel UECL winner, top scorer & player of the tournament are bigger than people claim to be, palmer came 8th last year with the same, just not top scorer if I’m right. Sarr has Afcon too, I think Top 50 is possible

@bhafcriley I think he’ll stay because he isn’t exactly pleasing on the eye so we’ll keep hold of him longer as a result, but his output is insane. You’re of course completely entitled to your opinion too, i just think he could sneak 40th-50th with a semi decent World Cup that’s all.
