@pescami “Scared of Wemby” is one way to put it. “Great offense that figures out the defense” is another way, and perhaps more accurate given they’re up 2-0.
We should pursue equal justice, even if that leads to disparate racial outcomes.
The job of government is equal justice, not equal outcomes.
One standard for everyone, and leave it to people groups to rise to that standard.
This is American Conservatism 101
@SherwoodStrauss posits that the WNBA was started as a tax write off for the NBA, it was never expected to earn money, but it received perpetual funding. This allowed it to become something akin to a nonprofit or NGO, so the focus of the WNBA has become political. It promotes “social change” more than anything we expect from other sports leagues.
@HorribleSanity@GlennPudick You could’ve yelled at him, or thrown something at him, or called the cops, all of which I would’ve done if someone tried to use my yard as a bathroom.
@shipwreckedcrew Outside of tennis, women's sports just have never been popular. The interesting question is why tennis is the exception, not why other female sports don't break through (bc this is obvious: women don't care about sports much, and men vastly prefer men's sports).
