People across Scotland will be deeply worried by another rise in energy bills announced today.
We produce enormous amounts of energy, yet despite Labour’s promises to cut them, bills keep soaring.
It’s time Scotland had control of Scotland’s energy.
It’s the Jacobite rose all right & was for MacDiarmid- I remember being consulted about this through official channels when the SNP first wore them at the opening of the Parliament in 1999
A Labour source has floated to me the idea of their party and the Lib Dems sitting as one group at Holyrood for administrative purposes.
The thinking is it would put to bed who the second largest "party" is at Holyrood.
Some Nats will take issue, but this is obviously sensible and it’s very welcome that Paul is engaging with the question rather than ignoring the defining issue of Scottish politics.
I have contacted SNP leader John Swinney and Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth to congratulate them on their enormous mandates.
For the first time ever, there could be three pro-independence First Ministers across these islands.
More and more people are looking towards a future beyond the constraints of the Union.
I look forward to continuing to build the friendship between the people of our nations, and to working closely with both John and Rhun in the time ahead.
The polls are now closed.
In every corner of Scotland, we have run a positive, ambitious campaign, focused entirely on the priorities of the people of Scotland.
To everyone who voted, volunteered, and put so much hard work into this campaign - thank you. 💛
