I was at the ER today, there was a woman gasping to breathe and sobbing in pain in the waiting room. She was alone and shaking. Nurses wouldn't take her back. She was crying for help.
So I sat beside her and tried to call 911 to take her to the next hospital over...
A cab would not take her due to liability, and the ER of the small hospital we were at was slammed from an accident.
911 couldn't transfer her to the ER 15 mins away (we pay for our rides in Ontario) because that was not protocol. She was screaming in pain at this point.
The operator told me 'I know how difficult this is to watch, but there is nothing I can do.'
She kept repeating that she felt like her uterus was bursting, and begging for help.
I ended up having to advocate her, loudly and repeatedly, before a nurse would come out to take her back. She was beyond the point of being able to speak for herself, and if she'd been alone? This young woman might have passed out from hyperventilating or pain.
This is the state of healthcare under Doug Ford's provincial government.
why is no one talking about the amount of spam calls people in the UK has been getting recently?? there has to have been some sort of huge data leak bc I KNOW it’s not just me
