@NTPGolf66 It really was! π
As disappointing as the reduction to 10 events is.. if they can get all those 10 events/locations to this level of quality, it will still be an excellent outcome.
@jerichsen66 Cam was looking great all week with an amazing start today to sit one back. Coach change looking like a master stroke! But dear oh dear... he appears to throw in the towel quite quickly and never quite recovers.
@jerichsen66@RossJon22 π―!! Also not interested in a refund. Did I use it, yes. Do I miss it, yes. But I still enjoy the app experience more than alternative options. And I'll subscribe again next year too. Plus, I'll happily have LIV keep my funds if this assists in their long term survival.
@jerichsen66@livgolf_league@IanJamesPoulter Yeah, I get that. Ultimately it depends if they think they'll get more eyes on their products right, even if it's only 12mths.. worse case. Obviously many factors at play. Just feels like it would be a good fit.
@EvinPriest@NSWBlues TBH I thought Tadesko was having an average game - absolutely butchered that 3 on 1 try late in the game. But he more than made up for it with that try on the buzzer.
@jerichsen66 This seems like a much fairer balance in terms of allocation. But still the PGAT will trend towards the top as its players are simply getting more pts. I appreciate this bias is unavoidable, but it still exists! It forces players to need to be on PGAT to get decent OWGR/Majors π
@jerichsen66 Its not so much about what golf I like I just dont think its a fair system. Accurate rankings are extremely difficult & subjective - that's why we have so many people trying a different way. I'd rather see wider access to Majors & not 80% single tour, which is propping itself up.
@jerichsen66 Yeah, it's the reality - doesn't mean it's a great system. That's my point and why I don't like the system. I've never said they should get the same points, but double is a joke. Everyone on this event will get propped up. These things are self feeding - like it or not. I don't.
@jerichsen66 You're missing the point. No doubt SoF is important, but that's not what I said. This style of golf is the basis of rankings comparison globally, and SoF will always trend in a certain way sure to propping up anyone on that tour. Events like this are classic examples.
@jerichsen66 Your first point is my point. But also in general, this leads to a trend of propping up SoF due to an American style of golf. I get you need to beat the best, but IMO too many players are overvalued based on the tour and style of golf they play. It does impact rankings!
