I never imagined this. In fact that whole time, I imagined the exact opposite. We just have to keep going, all of us, carried by our hearts, however hard it is, in fact particularly when it’s hard.
The darkness of the world is our cue to find each other and insist on a future worth living for.
Thank you @FuelTheatre . Thank you @omar_elerian. Thank you @battersea_arts. Thank you to all my collaborators. And thank you to all the audiences who have been so far, and those I look forward to meeting during Nowhere’s journey ahead. Next stop @HOME_mcr
Uncomfortable truths are met with strong, impassioned writing as @FuelTheatre's bold new play 'Nowhere' wows at @battersea_arts.

✂️Cut back fight back ✂️
Huge turnout from Equity members, arts campaigners & @ScottishTUC today at Holyrood.
We’re taking our message direct to politicians: Stop the cuts!
We WILL hold the Scottish Government to its promise to spend £100m on the arts over next 5 years.
The creative unions rally at Holyrood will proceed tomorrow, 12:30.
While we are happy to hear @ScotGov say they will work to reinstate @CreativeScots Open Fund for Individuals, this is the third time the money has been promised this sitting of parliament. They must now deliver.
🚨BREAKING NEWS 🚨
@scotgovculture reinstates £6.6m in investment for @creativescots, including £3m for the Open Fund.
Despite this, significant sums of funding pledged for 2024-5 remain cut or unconfirmed.
Scotland's cultural sector is still critically at risk.

Playwrights can be less visible than some creatives in our industry, but we should be clear: new plays spring from the minds of writers.
Join us on Tuesday 27th August/ Wednesday 28th August to organise, to share information, and to make the voice of playwrights heard.
On Wednesday we launched an emergency petition, urging the Scottish Government to keep their promises and deliver crucial support for the arts and culture.
Over 10,000 people have signed already! 🙌
Have you?

Members: write to your MSPs about the closure of the Open Fund for Individuals. A template letter (thank you, @Lynda Radley) has been circulated, which you should feel free to use/adapt.
We've joined over 80 Scottish orgs in an open letter to express our grave concern over @scotgov failure to provide certainty over the £6.6m Grant in Aid budget for @CreativeScots, resulting in the abrupt closure of the Open Fund for Individuals. Letter👉🏽https://t.co/JZnOuk2NzN
