The Rowan Marshall situation is getting messy but… I think I’m on his side.

- He signed a contract before the Saints ever spoke to TDK.
-He was kept out of the loop (any other position I wouldn’t mind but there’s really only 1 ruck spot in a team)
- TDK comes in on a million more a season
- Marshall tries to get out last year, doesn’t go through he comes back
- Arguably outplays TDK all season
- Saints reportedly tell him they’ll trade him for a fair deal
- Marshall requests trade again, and Saints want more for him than Essendon got for Merrett (7xBnF, 3xAA)

Sooo yeh, it’s easy to see why Marshall is frustrated.

Rowan Marshall is boycotting tonight's best & fairest at @stkildafc, adamant he wants to play for Geelong in 2027 and unhappy with the Saints.

"This is the dumbest request I have heard in years from a club. A player and a 1st Round pick for a 30 year old ruckman."

- Kane on the Saints reported request for a player and pick from Geelong for Rowan Marshall.

[chris 🏉 @BazDarty]

Rowan Marshall signs a contract extension, for his club to then sign a 1.7 million $ replacement in his position against his knowledge, Ceo end of 25 then says to him if you wanna be traded at the end of 26 we’ll do it, but their demands have gotten unrealistic & unreasonable

"This is the dumbest request I've heard from a club in a couple of years."

Kane calls out St Kilda for their request of a player and a 1st Round pick from Geelong for Rowan Marshall.
