Together with some MPs on the Shadow Cabinet, we this morning went to the construction site of Lubowa Specialized Hospital to conduct a scheduled oversight visit. Despite the Ministry of Health directing the facility to grant us access and facilitate the tour, we were denied access.

1.5 trillion shs of tax payers’ money has so far been injected into this project, but there’s no accountability for all this money. In the previous Parliament, we were still denied access to the facility, and so was the then Minister of Health.
If Gov’t is serious about the fight against corruption as we hear them say, they shouldn’t only go for those misappropriating small amounts, we want to see them also go after those who are failing to account for trillions of shillings!

The UN has announced that we will start running out of clean water (drinking, cooking, showering, dishes, laundry, etc.) in the next few years.

Water won't always be free. When clean water becomes scarce, it will be privatized, priced, and controlled. You will pay for it. And those who can't pay won't survive.

Data centers don’t actually need water. Data centers need cooling system and they are using water because it’s the most cheapest way to do it. Water should be for people before profits.

The world must remember that we live in a society, not an economy.

🚨 A young man named Tenywa was shot dead at Muzuri Guest House in Kamuli after bodyguards of the local NRM boss, Erick Mugabi, ordered him out of his seat and he refused.

They allegedly beat him and fired the fatal shot, then fled with Mugabi. Police are investigating, and nobody's commented yet.

When entities want to create an impression in the public psyche that they’re in charge, that they’re the power that matters, one of the things they’ll strategically do is to appear to be the agenda setters.
- They’ll ensure that they’re the first to announce important things;
- that they matter in determining who becomes king, especially as they announce a name other than what the public expected and indicated by the President;
- that they’re the ones who make key endorsements, eg Speakers, again as they announce a candidate other than the expected and indicated by the President…;
- that they are the ones who endorse ministers and heads of other vital organs;
- that they can influence sacking big people;
- that they can operate above the law, courts and institutions without any consequences;
- that freedom, opportunities and loss of the two depends on how you relate with them.

With all this, the public is being manipulated and prepared to re-organise and align its hopes, expectations, plans, and behaviour accordingly.

Nobody should be surprised that Museveni’s brutal son would consider anybody who is not from his specific ethnic origin a second-class citizen! By calling his brother-in-law - who he is always at odds with - a 'Muhutu', he is telling you how exactly he views those who don't belong to his tribe. Those who have eyes and ears know that this has been the unstated foundational policy and belief of the Museveni family rule. They now have a reckless, entitled son who is bold enough to say it publicly!

Like I have repeatedly said, you just need to sit down with several victims of abductions and torture and listen to the kind of ethnic or religious profiling (in the case of muslims) they're subjected to in those torture chambers. In the case of NUP supporters, if they're from any other ethnic group, they'll be brutalised and humiliated while being mocked for belonging to those tribes. If they're Banyankole, they'll be beaten up and dehumanised while being interrogated on what they're doing supporting a Muganda. One of our lawyers, Kakuru Tumusiime, recently recounted how he was tortured, being asked how a munyakole lawyer could represent me - a Muganda. Imagine the backwardness! This is a dark truth that we must confront.

This tribal hatred is being spewed by someone his father gifted with heading our nation's military. You can imagine how he views soldiers who come from the diverse regions of our country. Of course this perception is reflected in promotions, deployments, opportunities to study abroad, etc.

I am very pleased that the Government of Rwanda through its Spokesperson has come out to distance themselves from this barbaric madness. They know too well from their own painful history, the catastrophic destination where state-sponsored ethnic bigotry leads a nation.

Unfortunately, you won't hear any condemnation coming from the officials in Uganda because they all know that this tribal supremacy is the true, unmasked identity of the bloody regime they serve.

I call on the people of Uganda to remain united because a people united will always defeat regimes built on sectarianism - however ferocious they may seem.

Kizito was not a criminal. He was a father of five. A husband. A human being with a family depending on him.

According to his family, Kizito was rushing to find his pregnant wife, who was in pain. It was around 6:50 a.m., just minutes before the 7:00 a.m. cleaning exercise. He reportedly tried to explain his situation to the officers, but instead of being heard, he was shot from behind and killed by our hardworking officers for failing to clean 😥.

A life was taken. A family was shattered. Five children have been left without their father. A pregnant woman was left without her husband.

Dear @PoliceUg, who will raise Kizito’s five children? Who will explain to them why their father never came home? Who will answer for the life that was taken?

No, this criminality must stop! The first time they did a cleaning campaign, people were brutalised and maimed. Today, they've taken in a notch higher - a citizen has been shot dead in cold blood in Ndejje! According to onlookers, the police and military committed this crime while forcing boda boda riders to stop and sweep. Just like that, an unarmed citizen lost his life to these trigger happy criminals!
