@RangersJournal He's exactly the profile we should be looking at.
Knows what it takes to win a league, in his prime, been ever present in the past few seasons and in-form.
I wanted Elliot Watt as a 6 but this might be a better option as he can play in a 2 man central midfield.
@ibroxrocks 'Usual' we've no had a summer like that for a while.
Proper players please and no players looking to rekindle their careers. We're no a dog charity so no more picking up strays that haven't kicked a ball for about 4 seasons.
@123456tag@AndrewM92193593@__Jordan72 We got Kenny McDowall from Celtic, I'm not bothered so long as it leads us to winning leagues and doing well in Europe.
We had Stevie Smith sat on the bench last season, Rangers through and through but was still a part of the coaching team that stabbed Tav in the back.
@LetsTalkGers Why take the risk? There's better players out there, I've never seen a creative player be so dull and beige. He had preseason with Wolfsburg and he's an international pro footballer that's out of form, he could've rekindled his career at us and he blew it. No more passengers.
@LetsTalkGers As an out of form creative player, joining Rangers, where we have most of the possession every game should've been his career lifeline. He looked uninterested.
Regardless of the fee, he lacks the minerals to be a success at Ibrox. He'd only get in the way of developing players.
@RangersJournal Free transfer, prime age, knows the league, knows the manager, brings something to the table that we don't have and in a summer where we're likely to see a load of central midfielders leave us, it's not a bad player to bring in.
@__YC9__ Yes, good cover if we lose Barron during the window or to injury, knows the manager and the league. However only if it doesn't stop us getting Elliot Watt as a 6 as well.
@Baldy_Bassey We do love giving away fouls when we're trying to keep pressure on in the opposition half as well. Dark arts in football is taught by experienced players and we've lost ours, apart from maybe Tav but he seemed like the type of guy who'd own the only legit fire stick in Glasgow.
@blairwords1@CraigMacDonald3 Most fans would have him back but he wouldn't necessarily be their first choice.
He left wrongly but last time he did reinstate our identity. He took us on as a team that couldn't make EL group stages and fixed a lot of problems. Wonder what he could achieve with proper backing.
@GlasgowMeg31 He's better than most other options. I thought him and Champion last night had a good back and forth, they made a boring game seem entertaining.
@JacobsBen@alex_crook It used to be over the hill managers that'd stink out the sport but now it's recently retired footballers that get vouched for by Under the Cosh guests that are lauded because they play "good football" that suits the stat hipsters despite usually being jobless by October.
@4ladshadadream@KaiGWatson If £25m is offered it should be taken, we'd return a profit and can stick a good fee down on a more prolific striker or a more suited partner to Shankland or break the bank for an experienced centre back pairing. We have frailties throughout the squad this money could address.
