@East_Algarve@EyaWeGew Meslier is worse than Griffiths imo, he’s stinking. We do need a new keeper personally I’d go for Okonkwo from Wrexham, Tickle from Wigan or Valdimarsson from Brentford. Wouldn’t be against Palmer back either for a year.
First time I’ve seen a full game of Diomande and not just highlights. 100m player apparently, miscontrolled three passes out of play in the first 15 - the market is cooked
@talkwba 10th upwards after the last season. Still a big-ish player in the division with some good players, some young players to bed in and still some work on the squad to be done. Some other teams with better squads and bigger budgets infront of us
@CJHall83@AlbionAnalysis I think there’s a couple I’d look at from Oxford: De Keersmaecker, Spencer (if we didn’t get Imray) as well as potentially Mills.
I genuinely believe we can be excited about the long term future of the club. Definitely need some patience this season, we still finished 21st last season.
However for the first time since Lais departure I believe the long term future for the club looks bright
Genuinely believe the coaching additions alongside the previous addition of Dom Price is very promising. Bilkul building strong footballing foundations which we have lacked since Ashworth and co.
Couple that with the easing of financial restrictions and the early signings and
@holderjaden2011 No probably not mate, think we are moving away from the older injury prone free agents of past Albion transfers. Hes only managed 980 mins as his most amount of mins in a season in his time at Southampton (about 10-11 games) that’s not a lot
If Stewart and Morgan are our first two signings I’m quite happy with that. Get Imray back and that’s some youth and mobility added to a fairly experienced squad. Still a lot to be done but it’s refreshing
This is the first window since Bilkul's takeover when the first concern isn't the PSR equation. It's not a blank cheque book but #wba are in a position to call more of their own shots/be more aggressive in the market than before.
We have plenty of time to buy experience and even in the ST role we aren’t going to be getting just one (Morgan) as we lost dike and Maja so we have plenty of time to get more especially if Mozza continues with two up top. I think it’s a solid early signing dependent on price
I don’t get why some people are turning their noses up at Morgan from Chelsea? We are unlikely to be able to afford proven anymore and it’s our first signing of the summer. Our model means we need to buy young/low and sell the good ones for premium.
@wbaa_j He’s 35 tbf, but he’s a good signing to be a leader in that dressing room which from a far lacked that this season. Still think he’s more than capable at this level, just won’t play more all 46 games
Yunyi Guokai Ltd, owned by former West Brom owner Guochan Lai, and Renhe Sports Management Ltd, owned by former Reading owner Dai Yongge, are both given strike off notices at Companies House. Looks like it’s for non compliance wirh company law issues.
Simple for me: Maja, Bielik, Wallace, Grant, Gilchrist, all loans bar Imray, Wildsmith - all gone. Loans for all youth bar Alex Williams.
Open to offers: Mowatt, Griffiths.
New deal: O’Leary and Dike - one year.
Keep the rest - actually thought Bany did decent today. 8-9 in.
@_Simonian I personally have now sailed on Griffiths and would rather cash in sadly. I do think O’Leary instills more confidence in those infront of him too. Number one would be one of the priority positions for me. Agree re Maja and Dike - which is what I think id do.
So proud of all the lads and fans today, some atmosphere. Diakite, Imray, Phillips, Styles all good but my word how good was Molumby today. Give Mozza the job, sign Imray and then Prep for the summer.
So a club can sell its hotel to itself, sell its women’s team to itself, but West Brom are punished, they believe, for legitimate “in-kind” donations to the Albion Foundation, its charity partner that saves lives. Albion also believe the alleged PSR breach is “less than £2m”
