While I am a person who loves to type and edit, I have also found a variety of helpful use-cases utilizing Wispr Flow. It allows you to process and dictate verbally with coherent output!

I am a composer.
I am a storyteller.
Two of my many new identities that have developed during my undergrad at EMU.

Imagined space
Is turning
In a mirror of fire
A vestige of
The crux of sight
Unfixed and
Spinning
The fields break
As illusion splinters
And takes shape
A fleeting glimpse
Of the real
Of the things
That feel
The wind
The life
The communal strife
And the laughter
That lights it
@TJMusic2LiveBy I think I am discovering that as I go--right now the story is about (re)enchanting our natural world. It often feels to me that many people around me are in too much of a hurry--our haste makes us forget that we're all connected. And that really makes me grieve for our world.
I am
Creating
To no end
It's purpose
I do not know
In sharing
I worry
Am I telling a story
Worth telling
Am I changing
Something in this sliver
Of history
They ask why
And I protect the process
Maybe one day
I might know
How this might
Speak with the world
The Storm is come
Ringing our doom
In the isles
Of our waste
It's lightning lances
Across our sky
The sound
Of its eye
Is rolling onto the coast
As we, Wealthy
Play power
And boast
Bolting down the hatches
Of apathy
Hoping to absolve
Our indulgence
The Storm is come
We stones
Rest amongst the current
Cool and sleek
Rooted
In power
Though we do not last
Forever
As the tumbling river
Moves from the mount
To the whole
Each grain moves along
One day
Our time will pass
In the current
And the water
Will course
Beyond
Know
It's bigger than us
Some Christmas break writing! After much moaning and groaning about RAM shortages, my laptop was able to output all my virtual instruments. If you listen, let me know what you think! :)

#NewMusic
Big day on the new music front today! My piano preludes for 4-hands, "12 Preludes for a Dream" were premiered at noon. Then, in the evening, EMU's Emulate Choir performed my piece, "Home." Feeling extremely thankful for all the performers :) great times.
we are human
suffering
we are human
in our eyes
oh yes empathy
we might find
we are of the same kind
we are human
no words
from power
might nestle in our fear
we are human
worthy
of compassion
dignity
in life
dignity
I want to meet
empathy
in our eyes
Here you are
In the softest of grains
Remembering the moments
Of wandering these plains
The spaces you left, returned
And all the faces you have learned
Come back Crystal
And Imbued in loving light
To the earth
In a blur, in your sight
@MargTeschMuller Thanks Margaret! That's a great idea. Would you have any interest in performing or conducting it? :) always looking for new connections!
