@MikeyH28@EFCevie For that brief window of time. Honestly, "hotels" aren't even the best option here, at least not in terms of good value for money, or with regards to being humane. But they are the best one the UK seems willing to commit to rn
@MikeyH28@EFCevie Yeah, it kinda is that exactly. Like without those government contracts from Serco or Mears Group, those would be urban exploration locations. Not hotels with electricity or running hot water
@MikeyH28@EFCevie Also you gotta understand these aren't actual hotels that you can book a night in. They are former or repurposed hotels, block booked out on the cheap, that otherwise would be empty and abandoned buildings that can't otherwise compete with actual hotels nearby

Plus on both of those you can't bring your own beer to drink while you travel
