@ISU_COMference Some examples are
"How do you feel about balancing athletics academics and a social life?"
"Is too much pressure put on athletes today or do you think the current expectations are manageable?"
"Have there been implications of depression or anxiety due to athletics?"
The pressure students athletes face at the collegiate level has reached a point where a conversation needs to be started. Are these pressures manageable for student athletes? #mentalhealth#COMference297

@ISU_COMference The sports that were involved were both for males and females, volleyball, baseball, soccer, tennis, cheerleading, lacrosse, football, and hockey
@BarichGrant Because even though sports can be beneficial, they add an extra element of stress and responsibility to a persons life that they did not have before.
@ISU_COMference If we were to do this study again we would dive deeper into what outlets student athletes have to talk about their mental health and if we should be expanding their options of people to talk too.
After the conclusion of our research, it seems evident that there are resources available and awareness is rising, but there is still tremendous improvement to be made with ending the stigmatism behind student-athletes mental health. #COMference297

For thematic analysis we combined like codes to create themes. These themes include depression, awareness, guidance, perseverance, resources, and tips on dealing with anxiety as a student athlete. #COMference297
