@MakeSpaceforGi1 @AngharadBeckett@UniversityLeeds @Barker1Anna @_GeorgeHolmes@WestYorkshireCA For analogy to be accurate, the ratios must be comparable. For example, if there were 1000 cartons of orange juice with only 2 cartons being urine, you’d probably think it was an acceptable risk. Your analogy makes it sounds like incidents are 1 in 10.
@ibikeheathfield @NHSHighland@cbituk I hope you were ok but it does not make your opinion any more valid than mine. YES, drivers should be more aware and drive more safely, but there is no harm in ensuring you’re as safe as possible on the road.
@ibikeheathfield @NHSHighland@cbituk It’s not victim blaming Greg, it’s just advising people to be safe for crying out loud. It isn’t suggesting they are accountable, just helping them stay safe. You don’t need to worry though, go out on your bike dressed in black at night. I am sure you’ll be fine.
@TwoWheeledAndy @ibikeheathfield @NHSHighland@cbituk Kids SHOULD take responsibility for their own safety and drivers SHOULD pay attention and follow safe driving practices. The THINK! Campaign is aimed at drivers, so your claim that those who post the risk are never told is erroneous… UK 2nd safest in the world (RAC, Jul 2020)
@therealpaulwag@landrcl Looks like a good opportunity to support the development of resilience in young people. There will be games like this at all levels.
