Crazy day at Spurn today! Managed to find my first Pallas's Warbler along with a Dusky Warbler, Little Bunting and a fresh in YB Warbler. Then twitched Black-faced Bunting and Hume's Warbler, both being lifers! @spurnbirdobs
What a great way to start a day! Found this Dusky Warbler in the Crown and Anchor carpark in Kilnsea. The photos don't quite give the views justice! I'm glad others managed to finally catch up with it this evening. @spurnbirdobs@BirdGuides
Humpback Whale certainly wasn't on my mind when I started a seawatch off the Bluebell carpark at Spurn yesterday evening, so it was quite a surprise when my first look down the scope was filled with this around 20 metres away! @spurnbirdobs
10 raptor day at Spurn yesterday! Hen Harrier, 5 Marsh Harrier, Honey Buzzard, Common Buzzard, Merlin, 2 Hobby, Osprey, 3 Sparrowhawk and 15 Kestrel with 43 counted by others. @spurnbirdobs
Bristol proved to be a good choice of venue for my 3rd year university exhibition! Certainly wasnt expecting this to turn up... Desert Wheatear, this morning in Keynsham. @bristolbirding
Didn't have a camera on me today, so here's my phone scope attempt at the Whiskered Tern at Helston Loe Pool today. Great to finally get the species after dipping one by 30 seconds a few weeks ago in Kent! @CBWPS1
Carrying on with a good week on the Lizard, twitched the Subalpine Warbler at Kynance Farm 2 hours before my final uni deadline! I think it's thought to be Eastern currently. Next, I went for the Red-footed Falcon yesterday at Predannack. The spring that keeps on giving! @CBWPS1
A nice walk between Mullion Cove and Predannack today started good with a male Pied Flycatcher and two Whinchat, but got even better when a male Golden Oriole flew out infront of us! Last seen heading down towards the cove, but it wasn't hanging around. @CBWPS1
After stumbling upon yet another Hoopoe on the Lizard at Windmill Farm yesterday, today I popped over to Marazion for the Savi's Warbler. Have a dodge phone scope pic! Also had my first Reed Warblers and Whimbrel of the year. @CBWPS1
The last week has been quite productive with birds in Cornwall. Alpine Accentor last week at Nanquidno, Wryneck yesterday at Kenidjack and Hoopoe this morning at Pendennis in Falmouth. That's alongside all the other migrant birds! @CBWPS1
