@LewD23 @NC_LH_SEA @LH44Joseph Can I ask why you think they did not do it knowingly? But rather think they would have got away with it… since the regs are clear cut.
#F1#F1nancialDoping#costcap#redbullracing can someone explain to me how cost cap regulations set by the @fia can be “interpreted” differently by teams without having their legal/accounting functions clarifying said interpretation with the governing bodies to ensure zero breach
@Corum_Deo_3D@EclipseTN1@SkySportsF1 Can you give an example on which piece of the cost cap regulation might be open to interpretation? Wouldn’t the onus be on a teams finance/legal department to ensure that they are interpreting the rules correctly. Ignorance is not a defence.
@yoiflex @impartialf1fan @autosport@MSI_Images This would likely result in the higher performing cars achieving more points and having championship title deciders with quali in addition to races.
Drivers would still have to perform aside from DRS straights. Interesting concept…
@BrendanFosterrr@suryatejavala@autosport@MSI_Images I think the strategists would have already tested optimum tire wear vs performance… otherwise I think you’d see more of what happened with Albon in more races. I.e hards till last lap then a switch.
@BrendanFosterrr@suryatejavala@autosport@MSI_Images Agree but that was from a team which were expected a 18th, 19th place position finish and ultimately benefited from VSC and SC. The front runners I doubt would be willing to take such risks with much closer tire strategy margins…
@suryatejavala@autosport@MSI_Images Wet races have entered the chat… Wet races aside, I think even pushing hards to the end of any GP would be difficult without being undercut significantly.
