@LucasRinaldo_@VinceRugari Itโs definitely pronounced the Italian way (aka the like the brand). Ver-sase is just how it sounds when said with a heavy Mt Gambian accent
@simonhill1894@jonzey0 The Puskas one is a small & off broadway. If it was up to me Anges would right out the front of the rectangular stadium & it would be as big as the one of The Don at the G. The guys a legend and like his place in Australian football his statue should dominate the landscape.
@LongMacVampyr@MWL152 Zac Guthries development made me a full on believer in the Cats ability when it comes to player dev. Mullins came from Ireland has plenty to like about him so hopefully he also ends up another success story
Aussie sprint superstar Gout Gout scorched the track at the annual Stawell Gift, sending the tiny Victorian town into a frenzy. https://t.co/VZ3A1cHvFd #7NEWS
Gout Gout warms up at Central Park ahead of his heat at 2.51 this afternoon at the 2025 Powercor Stawell Gift, Stawell, Victoria. Let the Gift begin!
#powercorstawellgift#stawellgift
Good intentions I am sure but betting is an inherent part of the history of the @Stawell_Gift (the sport was literally built on it) & as such an exemption should be made. Gout Gout is a phenomenon & being able to bet on him would add to the excitement and be a nod to history.
The historic Stawell Gift is synonymous with betting but under Victorian laws punters wonโt be able to back Gout Gout, the sprint raceโs headline act, this year https://t.co/m7r8JuF3SA
@WarrenBonathan@hantscricket As an Australian I found the English reaction to Warnies passing to be incredibly moving and a real reflection of just how special a player and person he was. Gone way too soon
@3AWNeilMitchell We used to be a nation that prided itself on being irreverent and not taking things to seriously but not anymore. Modern day Australia is now unrecognisable from what it was just 20 years ago and thatโs a shame. No more Mick Dundees for us I guessโฆ
@patriothinktank@CollinRugg I can see that but the rationale that not only is it putting dollars back in the American peopleโs pockets but also incentivizing them to help identify waste fraud etc is not without merit. That said it is a big debt and one way or another itโs got be addressed
@INSIDDE_OUT@MichaelVaughan I agree with your tiers for the most part but I have a problem with tier 3- Windies shouldnโt be there because unlike the other nations listed theyโve been able to win a test against Australia in Australia in the last decade. The rest is right
Literally a sit down interview with two brothers and their parents to talk about how great their fights in the last game against Canada were! Mum and dad proud as could be of their boys. What a mad sport!
"You were polite about it right?" ๐
Matthew Tkachuk's family looks back on the fight from last week's USA vs. Canada match in the #4Nations Face-Off ๐
@PeachCobblin 100%. Speaking of broadcasting, the improvement in picture quality has really helped me enjoy the game. Back in the pre HD days I could barely follow what was going on bc I found it so hard to keep my eye on the puck. Can see it & the punch onโs more clearly now which is great
@oilers_life@IcyVert The sports got me now. Been to a couple of games and felt like I was watching Australian rules on ice with action everywhere & dudes smashing into each other. Aussies rules said goodbye to punch onโs about 15 yrs ago so itโs awesome to see that hockey has kept it alive!
@oilers_life@IcyVert Iโm an Australian who lives in the US and before last week I barely had any interest in ice hockey. After the USA v Canada match up on the weekend Iโve become obsessed! Canโt wait to watch what I think will be the sporting event of the year on Thursday
@shaimaxeyguy Thereโs a 3rd option and thatโs to be Geelong. Unfortunately for the tigs they tried that but werenโt able to make that approach work
