Light of Zion Church Pastor Gao Quanfu case urgent update:

Pretrial meeting was held on Aug 10 in Xi’an, China.

Public prosecutor was very aggressive towards my father’s lawyer with constant verbal threats to intimidate.

This behavior itself is unlawful.

They want to sentence my 70 year old father 12-13 years on baseless “fraud” charges - treating ordinary church donations and religious activities as criminal fraud.

My parents have lived a very simple and frugal life with honesty and integrity following God’s teaching.

The treatment of my elderly parents is unconscionable and inhumane.

Please keep speaking up and advocating for them.

We recently celebrated the long-overdue release of Pastor Ezra Jin after his unjust imprisonment by the Chinese Communist Party. But eight leaders from Zion Church remain imprisoned, and the CCP is racing to put them on trial and make them disappear.

The CCP says they want to be respected on the global stage, but this is not how great nations and great powers behave. This is how despots behave.

The Zion Church leaders should be released immediately.

While we are overcome with joy that Pastor Ezra Jin was released, eight Zion Church leaders remain imprisoned as the CCP fast-tracks harsh sentences against them.

It was an honor to visit with Pastor Ezra Jin and his daughter today. After 266 days in CCP detention, Pastor Jin’s faith never wavered.

During a a 6/14 Sunday service, police raided Early Rain Covenant Church in China. 33 members were detained for questioning and were released later that day. Early Rain has continually been targeted by the Chinese government. Please pray for the members of this church.

A Christian pastor and leader of Zion Church, Pastor Ezra Jin was arrested by Chinese police in October. Since then, his family says they haven’t been allowed to speak with him.

On October 10, 2025, Chinese authorities launched coordinated nationwide raids against underground Christian leaders. Chinese pastor Ezra Jin and many others were arrested on charges of “inciting to subvert state power.”

According to his family, Jin is being held in harsh prison conditions without proper medical treatment or access to a Bible.

“What we’re seeing now is a renewed desire from the state under Chairman Xi to engineer souls.”

In addition to the general brazen violation of human rights in jailing pastor Gao Quanfu for peacefully leading a church, the CCP has been holding his wife in prison for months for no other reason that she is married to him.
