Have you heard the big news? The @ausgov Federal Budget has been released! @RBAInfo Interest rates are UP! Our nation's political landscape is in upheaval! And global conflicts are having a real impact on life here in the beautiful Hunter Valley! What a time to be alive!

But guess what? Turbulent times are not new… every generation has to face its own seasons of uncertainty.

In the middle of all of this, there are still jobs to attend to, or work to find. Many are studying for their futures, raising families… the challenge is real!

But here is some good news today, God is not taken by surprise by the federal budget, interest rate rises, or your personal challenges, whatever they may be.

Proverbs 15:24 NKJV
"The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from hell below." 

This verse doesn't say the way of life is straightforward, predictable, or easy. It says it is winding, full of twists and turns! But it also says that God has stepped into your future, carving out a path and a plan for your life that is heading in the right direction, toward the good things He has in store for you.

Yes, it may require holding on from time to time, making adjustments, taking a corner, taking a step up. But here is what I am encouraged by and what I believe for you…

You are heading in the right direction. If you have decided to commit your ways to God, you can be sure that, despite the turbulence, you are on the right track!

This is why being in the room, in your local church, is SO important. It is the one place where we can continue to encourage one another to stay the course, remain faithful, and be the model of strength and stability that our world needs, even in seasons of uncertainty.
