The programme will support our leagues to create development plans, strengthen sustainability, governance, modernisation to ultimately provide great player experiences & support retention.

It was great to present and network this week at the 'Youth Sport Competition Think Tank' event held at @leedsbeckett School of Sport to share what the @FAWales are currently doing in the space of providing relevant competition in junior grassroots football.
Some excellent insight from multiple sports from across the UK and Europe. Common themes across UK sports in that Physical Literacy is still seen as a key area to address to give our sport participants the basic fundamental skills and best chance of being successul.
A great night co-delivering our latest Grassroots League Development Forum for our volunteers alongside @NathanDRFC at @EnglandFootball covering the importance of Development & Succession Planning.
⚽️ Project Chwarae aims to address the significant disruption caused by severe weather in recent seasons.
☔️ More than 5,800 matches were postponed in 2024/25 and over 21,800 postponements recorded across the last four years.
😃 Project Chwarae aims to find long-term solutions that reduce postponements, improve experiences for young players and support volunteers across the game.

It's an U19 competition with 2 overage players permitted (U23). Entry is free.
