If you don’t make much money (like, below $40k a year), you will almost never be able to afford the doctor. You may qualify for fin. aid, but god forbid you have any debt or anything, as it’s not considered.

@annaqque @a_art_gremlin @cafreiman I was just saying, accidents happen, and had I “just paid cash,” I literally would have been bankrupt immediately. Even getting their financial assistance, took off 90%, still left a bill of $25,000 with no insurance.
With insurance, the $258k went down to $2,200.
