Jacob Carter was a Major General in the United States Air Force and the host of the Tok'ra Selmak.
Upon being blended with Selmak, Jacob became a member of the Tok'ra and also an ally of Stargate Command and regularly assisted his daughter, Sam, in various missions. This continued for eight years up until Selmak's death in 2005, which also resulted in Jacob's death.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

And I get it. People get tired. Life gets busy. You post, you share, you make noise… and sometimes it feels like nobody is listening.

But then I remember what I’ve seen from this community.

Thousands of people from every corner of the world showing up because of one thing we all love.

Stargate.

A story that has been part of people’s lives for over 30 years. A story some of us grew up with. Some discovered later. A story that gave us heroes, friendships, laughter, hope — and a universe that somehow felt like home.

That’s why we’re here.

Not because somebody told us to campaign.

Because we bloody love Stargate.

And I refuse to believe that love has simply disappeared.

Maybe we’re tired.

Maybe we’ve gone a little quiet.

But we’re still here.

So come on.

Find that fire again.

Post the scene you love. Talk about the character who stayed with you. Share the moment that made Stargate your Stargate.

Fill the timeline with the reason we started making noise in the first place.

Love.

Love for this extraordinary universe and the people we found through it.

Bra'tac of Chulak is a Jaffa Master and Counselorin the Free Jaffa Nation. Teal'c regarded Bra'tac as a mentor and a father figure.
Once the First Prime of both Apophis and Klorel, Bra'tac finally officially defected from the services of the Goa'uld in June 1998 and joined the Rebel Jaffa.
Originally untrusting of the Tau'ri, notably SG-1while also regarding them with suspicion, Bra'tac has since gone on to become one of Stargate Command's closest allies, often assisting SG-1 in various missions while providing the SGC with knowledge of the inner workings and structure of the Goa'uld themselves.

Teal'c is a Jaffa warrior from the planet Chulak. As a Jaffa, Teal'c is a genetically modified human with an abdominal pouch that serves as an incubator for a larval Goa'uld. The larval symbiote grants enhanced strength, health, healing, and longevity; Teal'c is around 100 years old during the show's run and ages an additional 50 years in the final SG-1 episode. Teal'c's most notable feature is a golden tattoo found on his forehead, a sign that he once served the System Lord Apophis as First Prime, the most senior Jaffa rank.

In the 1994 film, Dr. Jackson is an archaeologistwho is a part of the first team to go through the Stargate on a reconnaissance mission, led by Colonel Jack O'Neil. He becomes one of the main characters of the subsequent television series Stargate SG-1 where he, Jack O'Neill, Samantha Carter and Teal'c make a team that is part of Stargate Program, whose goal is to explore the galaxy and defend against alien threats. Jackson is part of SG-1 until his death at the end of the season 5, when he is replaced by Jonas Quinn.
Upon his death, Dr. Jackson ascends to a higher plane of existence among the Ancients. He makes occasional appearances in season 6before retaking human form and rejoining SG-1 in the seventh season. Jackson appears in the series until the finale at the end of the tenth season and appears in both direct-to-DVD films that act as sequels to the series.
Dr. Jackson also appears in three episodes of Stargate Atlantis and four episodes of Stargate Universe. For his portrayal of Jackson, Shanks was nominated for three Saturn Awards for Best Actor on Television and for five Leo Awards, winning two: Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series for Stargate SG-1in 2004, and Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Feature Length Drama for Stargate: Continuum in 2009.

Colonel Samantha "Sam" Carter, USAF, is a fictional character in the Canadian–American military science fiction Stargate franchise. Played by Amanda Tapping, she appears in all three shows in the franchise: Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe. She was a main character in all ten seasons of Stargate SG-1 (1997–2007). Following a recurring role in Stargate Atlantis for three seasons (2004–07), Carter became a main character in Season 4 of Atlantis (2007–08), and also appeared in the 2008 direct-to-DVD SG-1 films Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Stargate: Continuum. Amanda Tapping accepted a starring role in Sanctuary and appears in only the first and last episodes in Season 5 of Atlantis (2008–09). Carter also appears in two episodes of Season 1 of Stargate Universe.
