@charlology I’m not saying it’ll happen, but it’s possible. You can keep trying to submit, but I also think posting webcomics is great (I used to do it for years, it was a wonderful experience)

@charlology 1- they’re looking for one-shots, but if your one shot has series potential they’ll happily accept it too. They’re not really looking for series right away.
2- I think you should absolutely publish online. Devil’s Candy was published online for years and was picked up by VIZ

@charlology I submitted the comic pitch and the mostly-finished comic over the course of a year before I was able to make HS/FS. This really is a case where you have to keep trying, keep submitting.

@charlology Sure I sent a comic pitch into their submissions portal, and another mostly-finished comic in as well. Half the pages were completed, the other half were sketches. Neither of those were accepted, but I got contacted after that. I pitched the idea for HS/FS and that was okayed

My initial designs for Cassidy and Ziggy. My process is to go very exaggerated and shapey initially to get the main design elements nailed down, then reel it back in to fit the style the comic will be drawn in.

Check out some of the early art I did for HS/FS. The idea actually began back in 2022!
As you can see, both of these poses/scenes made it into the final comic.
