@dwnfmndncprty @CauseCommOcean They’re all grouped under tortoise or terrapin, except some people don’t call marine turtles terrapins and view sea turtles as a separate group. It depends on who you ask 😊

I am generally anti gender reveal party but my sister took her 12 year old tortoise to the vet and had them write down the sex in an envelope and now she’s having a reveal party

@CauseCommOcean Hi! It’s me Luna! Turtle is an umbrella term, you’re not wrong calling me a turtle 😊 all tortoises are turtles, but not all turtles are tortoises, if that makes sense. There are also water turtles (called terrapins). Tortoises and terrapins are all turtles 🐢 🥰
