Tui ham đọc từ khi rành ghép vần. Lớp 2 lớp 3 j đó đã nằm đọc hết quyển Tắt Đèn trong 1 buổi chiều mùa hè, nước mắt ướt đ��m gối. Rồi sang những nhà trí thức trong xóm mượn đọc, hễ có chút tiền là ra quầy "cho thuê truyện", thường là những cuốn văn học phương Tây. Những tri thức ấy tích luỹ dần qua năm tháng, như lá d��u vào cơ thể con tằm, đến một ngày sẽ nhả ra những sợi tơ óng ánh. Trong khi bạn bè chỉ đọc mấy cuốn có tựa đề "để học tốt Ngữ Văn lớp 10" hay đại loại vậy. Nhiều thầy cô chửi tui, "em đọc "Cuốn theo chiều gió" làm gì, chẳng bao giờ Bộ ra đề thi liên quan đến truyện đó, chỉ nên đọc những gì in trong sách giáo khoa để đi thi cho có điểm cao!". Nhưng tui không có nghe theo.

Kệ mẹ ai nói j nói, tui vẫn say mê đọc và thả hồn tưởng tượng theo câu chuyện trong sách, từ những thảm lá vàng mùa thu ở rừng ôn đới hay hình ảnh cô bé mặc đầm lặng lẽ đi hái nấm trong rừng thông hay những bãi cỏ xanh với những bông hoa dại mùa xuân, rồi cả trời đất trắng xoá bởi tuyết của mùa đông.... Tui mong muốn 1 ngày đặt chân đến đó, khao khát, thôi thúc mãnh liệt. Kh đi làm, trả nợ ơn nghĩa xong là tui bắt đầu đi, "đi" là nhu cầu cơ bản với tui. Khi hết tiền, lại có động lực LÀM để tiếp tục ĐI. Bạn bè tui rủ chưa đứa nào tham gia, vì tụi nó toàn để dành tiền mua xe mua nhà hay làm cái gì đó mà nó cho là quan trọng, bảo đi chơi là lãng phí. Nhưng lúc gặp thì cứ kêu tui "mày kể cho tao nghe, thích nghe mày kể thôi chứ không muốn đọc sách cũng không muốn đi. Đọc sách thì mỏi mắt, đi thì tốn tiền". Tui lang thang khắp ngóc ngách thế gian, miệng nhẩm theo câu hát "Chim tung bay hót vang trong bình minh, chân cô đơn áo phong sương hành trình...".

*Tui đợt này đi Áo có việc, transit ở Athens (thủ đô Hy Lạp) ăn dĩa hải sản Địa Trung Hải rồi bay về. Có nhắn h��i bé @LeThanhNghia22 , hỏi có rảnh thì D mua vé cho con qua chơi, nó OK. Nó học mới hết lớp 12 ở huyện miền núi Ninh Sơn của Ninh Thuận, tư chất tốt nên tiếng Anh chỉ học phổ thông thôi mà rất lưu loát. Lên máy bay thấy chú Sam, người Trung Quốc, là chủ 1 DN sản xuất lớn mấy ngàn công nhân ở Quảng Đông (tui có nói chuyện trong lounge), say sưa đọc sách, thấy mới đúng là, không phải tự nhiên mà người ta có đầu óc lớn.

Phải đọc, rồi đi, rồi làm, rồi học. Cứ theo 4 động từ này là các bé có đầy đủ những gì các bé mong muốn. Còn ai muốn giữ được lâu dài, thì thêm động từ "cho".

Sáng nay cuối tuần, chúng ta học bài thơ và bài hát này. Bài thơ là những cặp tứ thơ biền ngẫu (ngựa sóng đôi) về quan hệ nợ nhau.

Bờ lau lách và nước ven ao, thiếu nước lau lách sao sống được. Thiếu lau lách thì nước ven ao hết đẹp. Mực và bút, thiếu mực thì bút vô dụng, thiếu bút thì mực chỉ là mực. 

thơ và chữ cũng là cặp nợ nhau. Thơ thiếu chữ sao thành thơ. Chữ mà thiếu thơ thì chữ không thăng hoa được. 

Trời khuya và ánh sao, chiếc áo và nét chỉ đường thêu, mái lều nghèo và khói bếp xanh lam (gọi là khói lam chiều), phố đêm và đèn vàng hiu hắt, núi non và cỏ rêu, đêm hè và ánh trăng thanh,....Đó là những mối quan hệ nợ nhau, tạo thành cái đẹp trong trời đất. 

Từ các cặp nợ trong tự nhiên, tác giả quay về hiện thực. Em nợ anh, anh nợ em, ta nợ tử, nợ sinh. Nợ sinh là cha mẹ ông bà, nợ tử là lẽ sống, là niềm tin, là đức tin, là quê hương, là dân tộc.

Một kiếp người sinh ra là đã nợ. Và cả đời này là trả. Trả xong thì "nợ tang bồng trang trắng vỗ tay reo", sống 1 đời nhẹ tênh...
