@hiyukiswife Actually it did, because it meant that the moment Samura caved and joined Chihiro's side then the traitor plotline had to be paid off immediately afterwards, otherwise Samura would just tell the Kamunabi "Hey, Kasen's the traitor" and it would come to an unsatisfying end.

@tomurapilled Saying that he should go to prison in a situation where he did everything possible to avoid killing twice is ridiculous. Had Hawks not done what he did a lot more people would have died that day, it's not a happy situation but he ultimately did the right thing.

But he chose the hard path of trying to save twice, and it ultimately cost him.
