Exactly this! People are so angry they were told to “just stay home” during lockdowns…. Yet gleefully tell disabled people to “stay home forever”.
Many of you won’t even concede to masking in hospitals - a place we can’t stay home from. We have no safe access to public spaces.
A few months ago a “friend” told me that he felt disabled people should be denied access to healthcare so “survival of the fittest” could happen faster.
That people like me are the reasons he - a non disabled cishet white man - can’t get ahead.
How did we get here? 🧵/1
