This is not true. Crime affects all and disproportionately affect black South Africans particularly African, due to their positioning at the bottom of South Africa’s pyramid structures economy and social system. Right now 8 African women have been murdered by what appears to be a serial killer. Black deprivation is not an accident of history or misfortune but a direct outcome of state orchestrated social engineering through successive colonial and apartheid laws such as land and other property dispossession, job reservation, commercial and property rights denial and legalised under-service that enabled the state to uplift the white minority at the expense of the black majority who were denied the opportunity to thrive. This happens in the corporate world too. U can join a company as a manager and uxelelwe, “This is our culture, this is how we have alwys done things.” But once u assess it and realise that culture is hurting productivity, discipline or accountability, you have a responsibility to change it. The problem starts when people become comfortable with ineffective habits. The moment you introduce standards, accountability and become stricter, suddenly u are labelled “toxic.” Not every culture deserves to be protected. Sometimes leadership means changing a culture that is no longer producing results.
