@Less_is_more12@mny_mrk@STR8MoneynBUff To say that BA that have been here for over 400 years are identical to specific populations in Africa is like saying a dude from El Salvador is the same as a Spaniard
@mny_mrk@STR8MoneynBUff Ethnogensis. Populations change over time. Just like the “Latino” community the black American population is a combination of a variety of ethnicities unique to America.
@CrimsonLi@hippi3mami@VladTheInflator Imagine coming back home and not being able to purchase property and build wealth in certain neighborhoods because of redlining. While white vets got complete access to the GI Bill. Educate yourself.
@CrimsonLi@VladTheInflator You just agreed that 83K Japanese people argued for and agreed to a 20K/person handout from the government. Coming directly out of the taxpayers wallet. That includes hard working black American vets and families that were unjustly denied from the benefits of GI bill.
@CrimsonLi@VladTheInflator Thank you for proving trickle down economics and handouts work. Glad you were able to reap the benefits of the hard working black americans that bleed and fought in the war.
@CrimsonLi@VladTheInflator Sure, but my point was that even a conservative long-term S&P investment assumption dramatically changes the scale of the payout. Are you arguing 80k recipients/families invested none of it over 40 years, while also claiming they generated massive wealth and economic output?
@CrimsonLi@VladTheInflator If each of the 80k recipients in 1988 took their 20k and just invested in an index fund of the S&P. That would equate to around $900k/person today based on historical CAGR from ‘88 now. Or ~$73B total. Hell of a lot of wealth created from your handout or “nothing”
