โพ ๐งข At the 2025 Buckle Up, Batter Up event in Toledo, the Patrol and partners honored 11 Ohioans who survived serious crashes by wearing safety belts. They were inducted into the Saved by the Belt club, highlighting the lifesaving power of buckling up.

In August, troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol filed felony charges against a man after he was found to be in possession of large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine during a traffic stop in Madison County. In total, the contraband had an approximate value of $14.26 million.

In 2024, there have been 157 work zone-related crashes in Lucas Co. Remember to โbe in the zoneโ and alert while driving through construction zones. Toledo Post troopers are monitoring the construction zone on I-280 to help ensure #WorkZoneSafety for all roadside workers.

This morning, an @OSHP Defiance Post trooper stopped this driver for going 110 mph in a 65 mph zone on U.S. 24 in Defiance Co. This year, there have been 23 fatal and 811 injury speed-related crashes in NW Ohio. #SlowDown for the safety of everyone on our roadways!
Trooper James R. Gross, a member of the Ashland post, received a report of an erratic driver on Interstate 71 near the post. During the subsequent traffic stop, he was shot and killed by a man who was fleeing the scene of another shooting.
Last night, troopers were advised of a vehicle transporting a missing child from Marysville, MI, that could be traveling in Ohio. At approx. 8:44 pm, troopers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The suspect was arrested and the child was returned home safely.
