1)I don't want to continue living like this, as a black woman who remembers watching the LAPD verdict, George Zimmerman verdict, etc I have knots in my stomach, waiting in anticipation, hoping that justice is served. For us this is nerve wracking, the anxiety I feel is sickening

2)The work does not end with the verdict, it begins. It shouldn't take a video for a trial to proceed, because video was evident in the brutality against Rodney King, Eric Garner, Walter Scott, Sandra Bland, Philando Castille, etc and countless others

1)Let's remember that a guilty verdict is the minimum expectation, the goal is police accountability, an end to qualified immunity, and an end to police believing they have a license to kill and brutalize black and brown bodies with no fear of consequences for their carelessness.
