The original STAR WARS (1977) poster art by the Brothers Hildebrandt.
This is actually a fascinating piece of STAR WARS history. The Hildebrandts created their version of the artwork for early newspaper advertising and retail posters, while Tom Jung’s more famous composition became the official U.S. Style A one-sheet.
The Hildebrandt artwork helped shape the visual identity of STAR WARS before the film had even become the cultural phenomenon it would eventually be.
Dolly Parton earned her first substantial royalty checks in the late 1960s, but she did not spend the money on cars, diamonds, or designer clothes.
Instead, after gaining national visibility on The Porter Wagoner Show and signing with RCA Victor, she put her savings toward buying a modern home for her parents in Sevierville, Tennessee. The gift answered a quiet promise Dolly made at eighteen when she boarded a bus for Nashville. Her family had spent decades inside a cramped Locust Ridge cabin that lacked electricity and indoor plumbing, relying on an outdoor privy and buckets hauled from a mountain creek.
For years, her father, Robert Lee Parton, had trekked down frozen hillsides in winter storms to carry heavy metal pails of water back to the house, his hands cracking and bleeding from the cold. The new home in town changed daily life completely, featuring indoor pipes, an electric water heater, and a porcelain bathtub.
Walking through the front door, Robert Lee stopped at the threshold of the bathroom. He hesitated to step onto the clean tile, worried his worn work boots would track dirt across his daughter's gift. Dolly took his weathered hand and showed him how to turn the brass handle. Warm water poured instantly from the tap without chopping firewood or waiting over an open flame.
The mountain farmer, known for weathering hard years without complaint, sat down and wept. Those early pay stubs, the deed to the Sevierville property, and the private conversations surrounding the purchase remain the foundation of how that family moved out of the mountain cold.

The Kunoichi was confident this time.
“Chicken Fried Steak.”
Even a kunoichi can figure this one out.
Chicken = chicken.
Fried = fried.
Steak = steak.
Got it.
Fried chicken and steak combined into one dish.
Now that sounds very American.
Beef alone wasn’t enough,
so you added chicken too.
Classic America.
I kind of love that about you.
So I ordered it without hesitation.
A little while later,
the waitress brought out a huge plate.
Crispy golden breading.
Plenty of white gravy.
Mashed potatoes.
It looked delicious.
But…
something was wrong.
…
There was no chicken.
I checked the right side of the steak.
Nothing.
I checked the left side.
Nothing.
I even checked behind the mashed potatoes.
Nothing.
Just to be sure,
I lifted the steak a little.
Still nothing.
The waitress came back.
“Everything okay?”
I asked,
“Yes, but…”
“Did you forget my chicken?”
She looked at my plate.
“Chicken?”
“Yes.”
I pointed at the menu.
“Chicken Fried Steak.”
She laughed.
“Honey, that’s the chicken fried steak. It’s beef.”
…
I looked at the plate.
Beef.
I looked at the menu.
Chicken.
I looked back at the plate.
Beef.
“…Where’s the chicken?”
“There isn’t any.”
…
Wait a minute.
Later, I learned what Chicken Fried Steak actually is.
It’s beef coated in breading
and fried like fried chicken.
So apparently,
“Chicken” isn’t telling me what’s in the dish.
It’s telling me how the beef was fried.
Then I tried it.
Crispy on the outside.
Tender beef inside.
Rich gravy all over it.
Absolutely delicious.
I finished the whole thing.
But America,
there’s still one thing I don’t understand.
If there’s no chicken in Chicken Fried Steak,
where exactly is the chicken? 😂🇺🇸
@Werdnah815@Jogsi15@FinalFantasy You missed the Anthology port on PS1 that also came with FFV.
Only pointing it out to further add to your point. One more for the list.
